Guidelines for accessibility

Accessibility to hard of hearing people means a broad range of assistive technology, both for the individual and/or in the society.

To remove the barriers of the society and avoid new ones, EFHOH has published our own Guidelines for accessibility to hard of hearing people.  These guidelines include parts about basic needs like hearing aids and other assistive technology; subtitling/captioning; public transport. You can download the Guidelines here: EFHOH Guidelines for Accessbility

Subtitling or captioning, especially in TV, but also at the cinema, the theatre, and on DVDs, is one of EFHOH's top priority goals. We regards this part of accessibility so important that we have given this subject it's own page in the left menu.
